Shockwave Therapy Promotes:

  • Increased Circulation

  • Pain Relief

  • Muscle Relaxation

  • Tissue Massage

  • Increased Range of Motion

  • Reduction of Scar Tissue

  • Fibroblast and Cell Production

  • Tissue Healing, Regeneration and New Growth

  • Trigger Point Release

Diagram about how shockwave penetrates the skin

How does it work?

The MyACT Piezowave2 high voltage regulator sends charge through the piezoelectric crystals in the therapy source which creates a high energy acoustic wave in the focal zone which penetrates the skin to the desired targeted depth based on the gel pad.

The mechanical acoustic wave (shockwave) creates a mechanical stimulus through the process of mechano- transduction by which activates the tissue to respond because it creates a microtrauma.

This process jump starts the bodies healing process at the cellular level with Fibroblast and Collagen production and the break up of scar tissue.

Science Proves Healing

Many studies have been done and the results show that shockwave therapy is the new solution to chronic tendinopathies, calcific tendonitis, and plantar fasciitis etc. ï‚ž

Many studies have been done in Europe and the U.S. over the last 35 years starting with lithotripsy. Studies show that shockwave therapy is highly effective for many conditions. ï‚ž

The FDA has even cleared Shockwave therapy for effective treatment of Plantar Fasciitis. Research suggests that ESWT has near a 90% success rate for this big problem.
